R.I. COMMERCE CORP. is establishing a small business assistance grant program that would provide up to $5,000 per business in grant funding from a pool of federal stimulus funds.

Sheaff and his team assembled itineraries for weekend getaways in 11 neighborhoods throughout the state and made suggestions on where people could stay, eat and play, all in an effort to support local businesses.”

I propose our business community rally around this point of action and expand on the concept to include not only hotels and attractions, to broaden the scope out to all RI based business entities to reinforce current RI Tourism offers to create what I call “Irresistible Packaging”. By definition, packaging that is so compelling, an invitation so warm, that resistance is futile!
RI already works in conjunction with other New England states to make NE an outstanding destination, and I propose RI should take their messaging and packaging to the next level to become “New England’s Host State”.
