Raimondo to deliver 2017 Information Governance Conference keynote address

PROVIDENCE – The Information Coalition, an organization created to promote best practices in enterprise information strategy, has announced Gov. Gina M. Raimondo as the keynote speaker for the 2017 Information Governance Conference, scheduled for Sept. 26-28.

The annual conference, now in its fourth year, provides training and networking opportunities for practitioners in organizational information strategy and regularly attracts more than 200 attendees from around the world.

This year’s event will feature more than 30 workshops on digital solutions for information governance, as well as interactive sessions, panels and presentations designed to help attendees optimize practices such as records management, big data and data sciences, litigation, and corporate information and compliance.

In her keynote address on Sept. 27, Raimondo will discuss the state’s efforts to revamp technology in Rhode Island and the challenges of updating decades-old state infrastructure.
