NORTH KINGSTOWN – North-Kingstown-based discount retailer Ocean State Job Lot has unveiled a new website, the company announced in a press release, which allows more options and conveniences for customers.
A real-time product catalog shows accurate inventory counts, the store says, so a customer can see what products are stocked and ready to buy at a certain location.
Paul Conforti, the company’s chief marketing officer, says while some folks prefer browsing in the stores, the new website will help serve customers who make a plan to come in and buy a certain product.
“While some customers enjoy the adventure shopping aspect of discovering great deals in our stores, others are looking for convenience and want to know an item will be available when they arrive,” he said.
A ship-to-store website page shows larger, specialty products that aren’t in stores but can be shipped to a store for customer pickup in 10-14 days, according to the release.
With the new company website, each store location will also have its own unique page; an Insider Club page features Monday-through-Wednesday deals for members; and the About Us, charitable foundation and blog pages have been revamped.
Ocean State Job Lot, headquartered at Quonset Point Business Park, operates 131 stores throughout New England, New York and New Jersey.
