Andrea Reed has been promoted to vice president of marketing and branding at (add)ventures. She will manage all aspects of the marketing team and develop collaborative relationships with client partners and prospective clients. Previously, Reed was owner and president of Providence-based i.d. Group Inc. and has provided senior-level services to clients in the financial, educational, retail, manufacturing and high-technology markets.

PBN: With your promotion, what new responsibilities are you looking forward to undertaking?
REED: The (add)ventures marketing team is a talented, fun, diverse group of professionals that offer a high level of service to our client partners. They are experts in many industries, including professional recruitment, hospitality, finance, business-to-business and retail. As a leader of this team, it is my responsibility to ensure that these talents are fostered so that we can maximize the value we bring to our client partners.

PBN: As an advertising executive you have had to oversee all operations concerning client relations, budget and media planning, and the development and implementation of branding and marketing campaigns. What helps you step away from the details and look at the big picture?
REED: [The company’s] guiding principles, “solve problems, make people happy” and “simplify complexity for humanity” keep me focused on the big picture. Our [clients] seek solutions to various marketing and communication challenges and it is our job to creatively and effectively solve them and have fun along the way.

PBN: You have worked at (add)ventures for more than four years, leading the company’s marketing and branding efforts with a specialized focus on professional recruitment and brand management. For your clients, how do you see “branding” and “professional recruitment” linked to one another?
REED: Believing in and promoting your brand is a key selling point for professional recruitment. It’s about first and lasting impressions. Many times, your brand and how you communicate it is the first and only view a potential candidate has regarding your company. And it’s the lasting impression, the promotion of the brand that can help retain an employee. •
