NEWPORT – The eight-day-long fall edition of Newport Restaurant Week returns for its 12th year with an updated pricing structure and nonprofit partners.

From Nov. 2 to Nov. 11, more than 55 local restaurants will participate in the celebration of local culinary delights.

New this fall, guests will have the option of purchasing a two-course prix fixe lunch for $20 each, a three-course prix fixe dinner for $35 each and a three-course premier menu prix fixe dinner for $50 each.

“The new premier menu at Cara allows the culinary team to showcase some of our finest dishes at an affordable price point” said Lani Shufelt, proprietress of The Chanler at Cliff Walk, in a statement.

A complete list of participating restaurants is available on the event’s website and is updated regularly.

Also new this year, Newport Restruant Week is teaming up with two local nonprofits – Eating with the Ecosystem and Strawless by  the Sea – both of which include food and the health of the region in their mission.

Based in Warren, Eating with the Ecosystem seeks to educate the public about supporting local marine ecosystems and fishing communities.

Collaborating with local restaurants, Strawless by the Sea, out of Newport, is working to eliminate dependence on single-use plastics such as drinking straws through by elimination and substitution with more sustainable, reusable materials.

The hashtags #NPTRestaurantWeek and #TheClassicCoast are being marketed across social media both in advertising the event and encouraging diners to document their experiences.

Newport Restaurant Week, which began as an annual event in 2006 and expanded to bi-annual dates, will be sponsored this year by Discover Newport, OpenTable, Strawless by the Sea and Eating with the Ecosystem.
