The Rhode Island Community Food Bank has named Kate MacDonald as Director of Communications. Reporting to Chief Philanthropy Officer, Lisa Roth Blackman, MacDonald will drive the overall communications strategy for the Food Bank, supporting its mission to improve the quality of life for all Rhode Islanders by advancing solutions to the problem of hunger. A graduate of Rhode Island College, MacDonald comes to the Food Bank with 19 years of experience in marketing and communications, primarily in the financial services industry. Prior to joining the Food Bank’s development team, her most recent role was with Citizens Bank’s enterprise communications function, following a long tenure as Coastway Community Bank’s vice president of marketing and communications.
