Eight nursing students have received scholarships from two funds at the Rhode Island Foundation.
First-time recipients Joyce Hicks and Danielle Lowney both study at Saint Joseph School of Nursing. Rachel Ritchie is applying her award to continue her studies at the Community College of Rhode Island and Carolyn Myers received a renewal of her Newton scholarship to finish her studies at Salve Regina University.
The Edward J. and Virginia M. Routhier Nursing Scholarship Fund is assisting Nicole Amato and Erin Beaudry, both of the University of Rhode Island as well as Daniel Fortin and Erica Wilbur, who study at Rhode Island College. •
