PROVIDENCE – Rhode Island Housing and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston have announced expansion of a second mortgage program aimed at first-time homebuyers in Rhode Island.
Helping to House New England is subsidized with $500,000 from the Federal Home Loan Bank, and is a $2.7 million second-mortgage program that provides borrowers with access to partial down payments at below-market interest rates.
Rhode Island Housing is the first to participate in the program, expected to be rolled out across the six New England states.
