Rolling applications open for NEMIC business accelerator program

PROVIDENCE – The New England Medical Innovation Center is accepting rolling applications for its six-month business accelerator program geared toward medical technology and digital health solutions.

Funded through the R.I. Department of Labor and Training, the program provides participants with up to $20,000 in funding, training from NEMIC advisers to develop, solidify and test the startups’ business models, and access to NEMIC’s network of investors and industry experts.

The goal of the program is to help entrepreneurs accelerate and incubate startups offering innovative solutions and move their startups closer to being investable.

Applicants must be a Rhode Island resident, employed by a Rhode Island-based company or organization, or a student of a Rhode Island university or institution. The deadline for applications is Jan. 15, 2023.

Since the creation of its accelerator programs, NEMIC has advised and mentored more than 170 startups to date and raised more than $8.5 million for its startups. Applicants can apply by visiting https://nemicfoundation.com/nemic-accelerator-program-1.
