MIDDLETOWN – Systems Engineering Associates Corp. was one of 23 companies that earned a nine-year, combined $794.5 million multiple-award contract from the Weapons, Vehicles, and Defensive Systems Department of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, the company announced Monday.
The company was awarded the contract through a competitive bid process.

“This award provides a significant growth opportunity for SEA CORP,” Senior Vice President David Cadorette said in a statement. “We are eager to continue to leverage our dedicated talent and decades of experience to provide exceptional support to the U.S. Navy.”
A SEA CORP representative said that the company does not yet know if the contract will affect staffing levels, as the orders will be completed in individual task orders, which have not yet been assigned. The company also did not have an estimate of how much of the $794.5 million contract will be awarded to SEA CORP.
The company currently employs more than 400 workers.
