MIDDLETOWN – KVH Industries Inc. reported a $6.9 million loss in the third quarter of 2025, an increase from the $1.2 million loss reported a year prior.  In its filing with U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Nov. 7, the company reported a loss of 36 cents per diluted share compared to a loss of 6 cents per diluted share in the third quarter of 2024.  Revenue for the quarter was $28.4 million, down slightly from $28.9 million a year ago. The company attributed the dip to a decrease in product sales, partially offset by a $1 million increase in service sales.  The company’s product sales totaled $3 million in the quarter, a decline from $4.5 million one-year prior. Service sales totaled $25.3 million, an increase from $24.4 million a year ago.  “We delivered a strong third quarter, and our strategic focus on airtime revenue and subscriber growth continues to yield positive results,” said KVH CEO Brent C. Bruun. “Service revenue was up 10% from the prior quarter and 4% year over year, despite the continuing decline in our VSAT [Very Small Aperture Terminal] airtime revenue. Most importantly, our subscriber growth continues to accelerate. Our total subscribing vessel count increased by a record 11% to approximately 9,000, compared to the second quarter. As a result, our subscribing vessel count is up 26% year to date.”  KVH, headquartered in Middletown, designs and manufactures mobile connectivity products and provides services for marine and land mobile uses.
