SEG accepting applications for impact, food accelerators

PROVIDENCE – Social Enterprise Greenhouse is now accepting applications for two of its 2018 accelerator programs in Providence.

The Providence-based accelerator will accept applications through Oct. 10 for both its flagship program, the Impact Accelerator, and its more recently created Food Accelerator program.

“This is a great opportunity for all do well, do good businesses looking to have a greater impact in their communities and beyond,” according to SEG.

The 12-week program aims to help socially conscious entrepreneurs grow fledgling business ideas into successful startups. The program costs $500 and SEG expects a $2,000 “pay-it-forward” contribution once the company reaches an increase of $100,000 in revenue.

The organization runs a third accelerator program, Health and Wellness, and the deadline to apply is June 2018. The programs are done in partnership with Brown University, and SEG draws from the expertise of an advisory network of professionals.

This is the eighth time SEG has run an Impact Accelerator program, and the third Food Accelerator.
