PROVIDENCE – Social Enterprise Greenhouse, a nonprofit accelerator for startups focused on social change, has scheduled events throughout the month of July for local entrepreneurs.

On Tuesday, July 18, SEG invites entrepreneurs to the organization’s monthly Community Table discussion billeted as “one table, one conversation, and a great way for eaters, advocates, or those curious to connect and exchange ideas.”

Joining the discussion will be Davide Dukcevich of Daniele Inc., a third-generation family-owned charcuterie headquartered in Burrillville that makes Italian meats for export all over the world.

The Community Table event will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. at SEG, located at 10 Davol Square in Providence. Attendees are invited to bring their lunch or a snack. The discussion is free and open to the public, but attendees can register HERE.

Also on July 18, SEG will host a workshop for entrepreneurs about how to raise funds for business. The event, part of the SEG 101 Workshop series, will cover “how to craft your case for funding with a focus on funder interests, grant development, how to ask for money when you have a mission-driven organization, and the basic principles of finding and stewarding donors,” as well as fundraising for nonprofits.

Presenting at the workshop will be Betsy Santarlasci, director of food initiatives and development for SEG, and Jonathan Ter Meer, director of development and crowdfunding for TriLinc Global Investments.

The workshop will run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at SEG’s Providence headquarters. Tickets cost $20 for a single workshop or $100 for the entire series of SEG 101 workshops. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.eventbrite.com.

Finally, SEG will host Providence Green Drinks on Thursday, July 20, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Ogie’s Trailer Park, located at 1155 Westminster St. in Providence.

Providence Green Drinks is a monthly event to highlight organizations innovating in the environment sector, followed by discussion and networking over food and drink. The July 20 meetup will feature a presentation by the Rhode Island Association of Conservation Commissions.

Some free food will be provided at the event, along with a cash bar. Register to attend HERE.
