The remaining assets of Paramount Cards – the 100-year-old Pawtucket company that had been the nation’s third-largest card maker until it closed abruptly last July – were sold at a Feb. 8 and 9 auction run by SJ Corio Co. of Warwick. Hallmark Cards Inc. had already purchased $8 million worth of Paramount assets; what remained was furniture and office equipment and supplies. Above, Sal Corio takes bids at the auction.
