PROVIDENCE – SENEDIA, the Southeastern New England Defense Industry Alliance, will sponsor RI STEAM Day at the Statehouse in Providence on March 21. STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, art, mathematics. Students, parents, educators, administrators, local and state leaders, and business community members are all invited to attend.
The purpose of the day is to highlight STEAM careers and programs available in Rhode Island. Interactive displays will be set up to offer information about the fields; state leadership will also be honoring STEAM excellence in state leadership.
