What is the biggest challenge currently facing your industry and how are you responding to it? Responding to an increased demand with limited resources. I am leading the work by focusing on capacity building, innovation and sustainability within our work to ensure we reach as many Rhode Islanders as possible.
What is the best advice you have ever received? Don’t say anything you wouldn’t want repeated out loud.
Where do you see yourself in five years? I will be at Meals on Wheels working toward our next 20 million meals.
What was your first job? A family-owned five-and-dime store in Cranston – shoutout to Nayco.
What advice would you give your 22-year-old self? Stop spending money on iced coffee and open a Roth IRA.
What moment changed your life more than any other? The day I married my husband, my biggest supporter. That was the day the life I had always envisioned began.
What is your greatest attribute that you bring to your job? My ability to roll up my sleeves and get into the work.
What is your favorite Rhode Island food or drink? Clam cakes and chowder.
What was your last streaming or cable binge watch? “Bridgerton.”
What is your preferred source for national news? NBC News.
What led you to pursuing a career in your current industry? I have always been drawn to a career of service. Personal experience and values motivated me to pursue a career in this industry.
