WARWICK – Simpatico Software Systems Inc. recently began providing software support services to the Texas Lone Star Electronic Benefits Transfer system, under a five-year, $5 million contract with the Texas Health and Health Services Commission that includes the option of five one-year extensions.
The Lone Star Card system functions like a debit card system that distributes state and federal benefits to about one million cardholders in Texas. The system processes more than 100 million transactions annually with a total value of more than $2.9 billion.
Simpatico will provide software support and modifications, develop processing for the addition of new state programs, and assist the state as it integrates newer technologies into its EBT program, according to the company. ?
