Siren Marine, Freedom Boat Club team up for fleet security

NEWPORT – Newport-based Siren Marine, which manufactures monitoring and tracking technology for boats, has aligned itself with Freedom Boat Club of Rhode Island. The boat club has locations in Newport, Warwick and Portsmouth that now have advanced monitoring and tracking capabilities for its fleets, according to a press release.

Siren Marine’s MTC Connected Boat System and fleet-management solutions let the boat club track its fleets in real time while also monitoring things such as high-water alarms and bilge pump activity. Members’ crafts are protected from sinking and other disasters.

Dick Cromwell, the owner of Freedom Boat Club Rhode Island, says the system protects assets on the water in case of emergencies or inclement weather.

“We always know where they are. Also, the dock staff can manage their time well. … Knowing the boat is arriving allows for superior customer service,” he said.
