South County unveils new mobile site

WAKEFIELD – South County has a new mobile version of its website for smart phone users that will be launched in early January, the South County Tourism Council announced, noting that 30 percent of its Web traffic came from smart phone users this summer.
“Check events listings, find a bike path, boat launch or kayak put in, or a new place to enjoy a great meal,” the council said, also noting that it has developed a QR tag so smart phone users can quickly locate the South County mobile website.
Additionally, the website’s wedding section, offering information on local limousine rentals, DJs, and bridal shops, has been so popular that the council is in the process of creating a new website, www.SouthCountyWeddings.com, that also will be launched early next year.
“It provides brides with year-round access to local vendors and venues to make their day memorable,” the council said.
