Spaulding named Connecting for Children and Families’ new executive director

WOONSOCKET – Erin Spaulding, the former senior vice president of youth development and family strengthening for Old Colony YMCA, has been named executive director of Connecting for Children and Families.

The nonprofit specializing in offering family support services to the community announced its new leader on Monday. She replaces Terese Curtin, who retired as executive director at the end of 2021 after being with the nonprofit for 25 years.

Spaulding began her tenure with CCF on Monday. Lisa Carcifero, the organization’s board chairperson, said in a statement the board conducted a national search and interviewed several individuals before selecting Spaulding.

“Her drive and commitment to transforming the lives of community members, as well as her experience and education, make her the ideal fit as CCF’s next leader,” Carcifero said.

CCF said Spaulding will work closely with the nonprofit’s 18-member board and 50-person staff to continue its mission of helping children and families in both the city and across northern Rhode Island.

“I admire CCF’s commitment to a two-generational philosophy, supporting young people and their families from cradle to career,” Spaulding said in a statement. “The alignment of my own personal mission and goals and those of CCF means so much to me.”
