NEWPORT, RI, June 29, 2011 – Celebrate Independence Day with a bang for your buck when the Newport Festivals Foundation, Inc. re-instates the $50.00 General Admission ticket for the Newport Jazz Festival Presented by Natixis Global Asset Management. Beginning Thursday, June 30, through July 5, local buyers can purchase specially-discounted tickets (regularly priced at $69.00) for concerts at Fort Adams State Park in person at the Newport Visitor Information Center, 23 America’s Cup Avenue.
Festival Producer George Wein first offered discount tickets at last year’s festival and continues the tradition to make it as easy and affordable as possible for the jazz fans of Newport and the surrounding areas to attend their hometown festival, which is a major part of Newport’s and Rhode Island’s cultural history.
