With 300 employees, the Smithfield-based tree care company stayed open throughout the pandemic and made sure customers had their tree maintenance taken care of. As a result, revenue increased by 33% from 2021 to 2023, ending last year with $49.4 million.
“We didn’t slow down one bit,” said Julian Emerich, Stanley Tree’s director of marketing and purchasing. “Customers still needed tree care, utility providers still needed lines cleared and their infrastructure maintained, so we were very fortunate.”
The company is employee-owned and every employee has a sense of ownership, putting their all into their work. Emerich is optimistic for the company’s future growth.
“Everything that our employees do continues to drive our growth,” he said. “We did whatever it took to keep people working and safe.”
