What modifications have you made to your workplace to support employee wellness? We have taken a three-pronged approach to well­being: physical, mental and financial. We have developed a yearlong series of events to support our associates in these three areas. Examples of the events include sessions on saving for retirement and an in-person event with a highly sought-after speaker presenting on resilience.

Do you have a preference for promoting existing staff or hiring from outside and why? We think with all companies, promoting from within is preferred. In 2023, we have had an enhanced focus on personal and professional development of our associates. Supporting associates as they reach their professional goals is important to us.

Describe a new employee benefit(s) or initiative(s) your company has launched in the past 12 months. We launched a formal mentorship program in 2023. Historically, many associates have served informally as mentors. Our goal was to reach as many associates as possible who were interested in their own development and to support others.
