Statewide housing plans public meetings to discuss community development

NORTH KINGSTOWN – The R.I. Housing and Mortgage Finance Corp. and the state office of Community Development are holding three public meetings this fall, starting this month, to gather feedback relating to housing and community development.

The first meeting is from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, at the North Kingstown Free Library, 100 Boone St., North Kingstown. The second is from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at the Thundermist Health Center community room, 450 Clinton St., Woonsocket. The last scheduled meeting is from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at Woodlawn Community Center, 210 West Ave., Pawtucket.

An additional round of meetings will be held in the early winter months.

The two agencies are collaborating on issues such as a five-year consolidated plan and analysis of impediments to fair housing.
