Storms newest pediatrician to join Thundermist Health Center

WEST WARWICK – Dr. Angelica Storms has joined Thundermist Health Center in West Warwick as the facility’s newest pediatrician.

Storms attended Universidad Panamericana Medical School in Mexico City, Mexico, then completed her pediatric residency at Miami Children’s Hospital, which has since been renamed Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, after graduating.

Before joining Thundermist, Storms pursued her special interest in child development and behavior as part of the Developmental-Behavioral Pediatric Fellowship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles for one and a half years.

During that time, Storms worked in specialized developmental clinics as well as general pediatric clinics and completed a mini-fellowship in primary pediatric psychopharmacology.

As a pediatrician at Thundermist of West Warwick, Storms will provide primary and preventative care to children from birth to 18 years old. In addition to primary care and preventive care, pediatric services at Thundermist of West Warwick include same-day sick visits, immunizations, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder management, developmental screening, behavioral health evaluation and intervention, nutrition, and comprehensive asthma care and education.

Thundermist is a level three patient-centered medical home providing care to patients and accepts most insurances. Sliding-scale fees are available based on income and family size.
