Eric M. Shorr | Secure Future Tech Solutions founder and president
Our mission at Secure Future Tech Solutions is to provide expert technology guidance to the small-business market. But it wasn’t always so.
When I started the company 26 years ago, it was all about being reactive. Our previous corporate name, PC Troubleshooters, said it all. If your computer broke, we fixed it.
To better serve clients’ needs, our business model has done a 360-degree turn to a more proactive and security-focused approach, which ultimately drove our corporate rebranding in 2014 to Secure Future Tech Solutions.
There is such power in a corporate name. But I’ve learned that there needs to be a powerful culture inside your organization to match the name. For that to be the case, a strong and cohesive organization must be guided by a set of core values that the entire team embodies.
Our core values: proactive, expert, client centric, integrity, be present.
I hire, train and review my employees based upon these core values.
I bring on new proactive services, such as dark web monitoring, in my drive to be an expert in cybersecurity and in understanding client needs. Being client centric, by saying “Yes we can,” and figuring it out, has allowed us to partner with so many businesses. We retain those relationships because we make decisions with Integrity, always asking, “What is for the greatest good of our clients?”
My biggest piece of advice for running a successful business – be present. Actively listen to your employees and clients with an open mind and willingness to learn.
