Tax on sugary drinks too big a burden

As a small-business owner here in Providence, I know firsthand how difficult the past year has been for our local establishments. While Rhode Islanders kept themselves and their families safe at home, my restaurant and marketplace, Yoleni’s Providence, was dealing with limited in-person patronage, dramatically reduced sales and many other consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.
