TD Bank names new branch manager in Rhode Island

MIDDLETOWN – New Jersey-based TD Bank has named Charles L. Lomnitzer as assistant vice president and store manager of its new retail banking branch in Middletown.

Lomnitzer is responsible for new business development, consumer and business lending, managing personnel, and overseeing the daily operations at the branch at 553 West Main Road, the bank said. The branch office is designed to serve customers throughout Newport County.

Lomnitzer has 34 years of experience in retail banking and sales. He joined TD Bank in 2016 as store manager in Greenwich, Conn. Before that, he served at JPMorgan Chase bank for 15 years, including as district manager overseeing 11 branches in Connecticut, the bank said.

With more than 1,200 locations in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, the Carolinas, and Florida, TD Bank serves some 9 million customers with a range of retail, small business and commercial banking services.

A resident of New Bedford, Lomnitzer is a member of the Newport County Chamber of Commerce and the Providence College Alumni Association. He has a master’s degree in business administration from Sacred Heart University and an undergraduate degree from Providence College.
