Tech Collective hosts ‘4 Steps to Workplace Empowerment’ workshops

PROVIDENCE – On May 22 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Tech Collective offers attendees a choice of two, 45-minute empowerment-building workshops for women. The workshop event is coordinated by the group’s Women in Tech Committee, according to a press release.

The workshop “How to Create and Engage Allies” is presented by Advancing Women’s Excellence founding partner and Chief Visionary Officer Lisa Bergeron. Tech Collective bills it as “a discussion on how to expand awareness about the unique challenges women face in the workplace as well as strategies to engage men as allies and partners.”

“Advocating for Yourself” is hosted by members of the Women in Tech Committee: Kristina Bacon of Amgen in West Greenwich; Carrie Majewski of Women in Leadership Nexus and Cranston-based Trilix; Deb Ricci of Carousel Industries of Exeter; and Natalie Benkovich of AIPSO, which has offices in Johnston.

Shandi Hanna, wellness coach and personal trainer at Switch It Up, conducts the session, “How Neglecting Self-Care Hurts You and Your Work.”
