THE STORY: The company was founded in 1973 as a buyer and seller of scrap materials. In 1978 it began recycling, and then in 1980 it started custom-compounding reinforced thermoplastics, which it still does for industries as diverse as automotive, consumer housewares, furniture, lawn and garden products, health care, packaging, and pump, pool, spa and irrigation.
