How do you support community service work by your employees? “Reach for the Stars,” our award-winning volunteerism program, rewards employees for serving as leaders on nonprofit boards, participating in bank-sponsored events and supporting community activities. We annually recognize employees for community service and provide corporate donations to nonprofits.

Do you have a preference for promoting existing staff or hiring from outside and why? We find there are benefits to having a balance of new and long-term employees. It’s important to provide existing employees with a career path, so we post open positions internally. We also value the diversity employees from outside the company bring.
