How has COVID-19 changed your industry? COVID-19 has changed my industry by providing opportunities for employers and employees to find creative ways to address current and evolving work and workforce needs in this new landscape. From maintaining the necessary security protocols with work from home and virtual meetings, to finding new schedules and procedures for work on the submarine in close quarters while keeping employees and sailors safe, the industry has had to pivot from traditional solutions and mindsets to more creative and out-of-the-box thinking.

Where do you see yourself in five years? I see myself finding harmony between having a family and continuing to help others through my career and community involvement.

What moment changed your life more than any other? The [death] of my father. My family is very close and the loss, while devastating, brought us closer together, made us better support systems for each other and really put into perspective the huge presence my father had in our lives. Miss you, Poppy!

Fox or MSNBC? Neither. I’ll take NPR over both.

What led you to pursuing a career in your current industry? I always liked solving problems, being challenged and helping others. After my first job out of college, I thought this industry would allow me to hit all three goals. And more importantly, my mom had spoken highly of my current employer for years.
