This year’s keynote speaker is Rich Overmoyer. Rich is President and CEO of Fourth Economy Consulting a Pittsburgh, PA based national economic and community strategy firm. Rich is a nationally known thought leader and has pioneered original programming in the areas of economic and community development and the environment.
Rich and the Fourth Economy team are working in Rhode Island to support economic development strategies that will be included as part of the State’s RhodeMap, RI planning effort. Their focus is on identifying economic intersections that allow Rhode Island businesses and residents to work together to realize market opportunities and job creation. Their work is supported by the Rhode Island Foundation and now Commerce, RI. In January they published Economic Intersections of Rhode Island: a private sector-generate action agenda. Recently unveiled at Make It Happen 2,that work is an insightful snapshot of the economic development ideas of the business community.
