Mohegan Sun and AAA Entertainment launch WMOS-FM 104.7

Mohegan Sun, in partnership with AAA Entertainment of Providence, Rhode Island, introduced their new radio station, WMOS-FM 104.7 “The Wolf” to southeastern Connecticut, southern Rhode Island and Long Island, New York last Monday. The station features music from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, and while currently broadcasting from Mystic, Connecticut, the station will move to Mohegan Sun in November 200l and broadcast from the Riverview Garage entrance to the Casino of the Sky. A viewing window will allow guests to see the DJs in action and get involved in the excitement.

Powered by Mohegan Sun, WMOS 104.7 will orchestrate monthly promotions such as the Mohegan Sun VIP Award and Mohegan Sun Local Business Profile. Programming will also include news and sports from Connecticut, Rhode Island and Long Island.

AAA Entertainment, LLC purchased 104.7 FM in April of 2000 and operated the station under the call letters WBEA 104.7 “Beach Radio,” broadcasting songs from the 1980s and 1990s. In July 2001, the call letters were changed to WMOS, and the station began broadcasting a classic hits format and is now known as 104.7 “The Wolf.”
