Warwick home sells for $1.9M, second-highest sale in city in 2016

WARWICK – A single-family home on Promenade Avenue that features historic design and smart-home technology has sold for $1.9 million, becoming the second-most expensive sale in the city this year.
The house, at 339 Promenade Ave., has more than 4,000 square feet and water views, according to sales associate, Bettina Monaco, of The Monaco Group of Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty, who represented the sellers.
The buyers, who were not identified, were represented by Ron Phipps of Phipps Realty.
The house dates to 1900 and sits on a half-acre lot, according to public information posted on Vision Government Solutions website.
In 2016, the property was assessed by the city with a value of $1.2 million. The owner was identified as the Deborah A. Grace Sears Trust. The last documented sale was in 2004, when James N. Grace III purchased the property for $850,000, according to Vision Government Solutions.
