Winter lecture series to begin with ‘Horace Trumbauer Remembered’

NEWPORT – Horace Trumbauer, the architect responsible for Gilded Age beauties such as The Elms in Newport, as well as Miraramar and Stonybrook, will be the subject of a lecture on American architects and architecture on Feb. 11.

The event begins at 5:30 p.m. and is hosted by Trudy Coxe, CEO and executive director of The Preservation Society of Newport County.

During the Q&A period that follows her presentation, architect and artist John Grosvenor will share his extensive knowledge of history and architecture.
