BOSTON – MassChallenge Boston will hold its annual Startup Showcase on Wednesday, June 28, featuring the 128 companies accepted as finalists in the 2017 accelerator program.

Among the finalists, which were announced in May and took up residence at Boston’s Innovation and Design Building earlier this month, are three startups from Providence:

The 2017 cohort represents the top 8 percent of applicants from 12 countries around the world, MassChallenge said. Of the startups named as finalists, 30 percent are in the health care and life sciences industries, 29 percent are high-tech, 20 percent are retail and consumer goods companies, 16 percent are social-impact initiatives, and 6 percent are in “clean tech” and energy.

The Startup Showcase will be the first chance for the startup community at large to meet the 2017 finalists and check out their products and services in development in an open-floor exposition.

The event is free to attend and will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28, at the Innovation and Design Building in Boston’s Seaport District.

For more information or to RSVP, visit the event page at www.eventbrite.com.
