CRANSTON – Aldi will reopen its Cranston supermarket Thursday, following a renovation to modernize the interior and create more space for fresh food items, including dairy, produce and bakery goods.
The renovation of the 1138 Pontiac Ave. store is part of the company’s $1.6 billion investment in rehabbing its existing U.S. locations. The company is based in Essen, Germany.
Aldi has eight locations in Rhode Island and is a discount grocer, with staples advertised at as much as 50 percent lower than traditional grocery chains.
