PROVIDENCE – Caregivers and other health care professionals caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia are invited to attend the Alzheimer’s Association Rhode Island chapter’s seventh annual conference.
Featuring a morning address by Maria Carrillo, chief science officer for the national Alzheimer’s Association, and a keynote address by Nancy Emerson Lombardo, adjunct research assistant professor of neurology, Boston University School of Medicine and Boston University Alzheimer’s Disease Center, and president and founder of Brain Health and Wellness in Acton, Mass., the event includes workshops and vendors’ resources.
The conference will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., April 21, at the Crowne Plaza Providence-Warwick in Warwick. Free for family caregivers, it assesses fees for social workers and nurses seeking continuing education units. Registration is required for all by April 11; visit alz.org/ri to register.
