PROVIDENCE – Bioscience startup Axon Sleep Research Laboratories has announced the appointment of David P. Dickinson as its CEO and as a member of its board of directors.
Dickinson has more than 25 years of experience in general management, international consumer marketing, product innovation and business development.
He began his career with Proctor & Gamble and later worked in brand-management at Johnson & Johnson Consumer Products and the Arm & Hammer Division of Church & Dwight. As vice president of Global New Business Development for Mead Johnson Nutritionals Division of Bristol-Myers Squibb, he oversaw the team that created Viactiv Soft Calcium Chews, a popular nutraceutical line. He also had served as board director, president and CEO of Boston-based biotech firm Pericor Science.
Dickinson most recently served as chief operating officer of StemCyte Inc. of California and Taiwan, a company specializing in banking and transplantation of umbilical-cord stem cells
