John F. Quinlan has been appointed vice president and relationship manager for FleetBoston Financial’s small business services group serving the Cranston and Johnston area. The small business services group at Fleet delivers products and services designed to serve the needs of businesses with annual sales up to $10 million. Quinlan will be Fleet’s main contact with the small business community in Cranston and Johnston. In addition to soliciting new business, he will also manage Fleet’s existing small business accounts in that area. He was formerly employed as credit specialist at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and vice president for commercial real estate at Bank of New England. He has a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Rhode Island. He is on the board of directors of the Cranston Area Career and Technical Center and a corporate solicitor for the Meeting Street Center. He is a resident of Lincoln.
