PROVIDENCE – Andrew Mallon, director of the MassChallenge Rhode Island accelerator program has stepped down, the Boston Business Journal reported Dec. 14.
Mallon, a MassChallenge accelerator alumnus, oversaw the organization’s Rhode Island program’s inaugural year. Mallon is still CEO of Trovex BioTherapeutics, headquartered in Lincoln.
Mallon’s LinkedIn said he left the position in September, making his tenure roughly 10 months.
The organization also confirmed to the BBJ that the program director of the Boston MassChallenge accelerator, Kiki Mills Johnston, has departed the organization as well.
MassChallenge said it has begun to look for candidates for both positions.
In November it was announced that MassChallenge founder and CEO John Harthorne will leave the nonprofit organization to start a for-profit organization once a replacement for his position has been found.
