PROVIDENCE – By the end of the year, two Boston Sports Clubs gyms are expected to open in Providence, boosting BSC’s club count to 26 facilities.
The company will open a 25,000-square-foot Downtown facility at 10 Dorrance St. and a 15,000-square-foot facility at 131 Pittman St., on the city’s East Side.
“We are thrilled to be able to count Providence as one of our new homes and are excited about the opportunity to bring world-class facilities to the residents and visitors here,” BSC CEO Alex Alimanestianu said in a statement last week. “We pride ourselves on not only delivering a superior fitness experience to our members, but on making it as convenient and as fun as possible for people to achieve their fitness goals. Our goal is to improve lives through exercise and we’re committed to that mission here in Providence.”
The company said last week that it intends “to support its entry into the Providence market with an integrated advertising and public-relations campaign supporting select community events and partnerships.”
