Joyce E. Masse
Joyce E. Masse has been promoted to senior at Rooney, Plotkin & Willey. A West Warwick resident, she received both her bachelor’s and her master’s degrees from Bryant College. Rooney, Plotkin & Willey is a full-service certified public accounting firm.

 

 

 

CONSULTING

Sheree Gaus
Sheree Gaus will head VEI Associates’ new office in New Bedford, Mass. A Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute graduate, Gauss has been with VEI since 1997, and has worked extensively with EPA’s Toxic Release Inventory reporting and Risk Management Program, as well as CFC management and air permitting issues. VEI, a Michigan-based environmental consulting firm has been in business since 1993, specializing in air quality management and permitting, regulator compliance services, site assessments, subsurface soil and groundwater investigations, and remedial programs.

 

DESIGN

Jennifer Ann McGirr
Jennifer Ann McGirr has been appointed graphic designer of Communications Arts Group. She is responsible for the design of logos, advertisements and packaging for the company’s consumer and high technology customers. A Rhode Island College graduate, her senior project was exhibited at the Bannister Gallery in Providence in 1995. McGirr was also an art director in the newspaper industry before joining CA Group.

 

 

 

FINANCE

Jill E. Michael
Jill E. Michael has been appointed branch manager of People’s Credit Union. She is responsible for managing operations of the North Kingstown office. Michael joined the People’s Credit Union in 1996 as a manager trainee, and was promoted to branch manager of the Friendship Street office in 1998. A resident of Newport County, she received a bachelor degree in speech communications from San Diego State University.

 

 

INSURANCE

Mark W. Matrone
Mark W. Matrone of Bristol has been elected president of The John Andrade Insurance Agency, Inc. and the John Andrade Insurance Agency of Warren. A graduate of Boston College, Matrone has experience in the industry with both the Travelers and Hartford Insurance Companies. With Andrade since 1992, he will continue to serve as chairman of the board.

 

 

 

Kristie Hilton
Kristie Hilton has been named director of recruiting for the Providence agency of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company. Prior to joining the agency Hilton was with Bank of Boston in the home Equity department, and worked at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla. She is currently an ambassador with the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce.

 

 

 

Casby Harrison, ESQ.

Casby Harrison, Esq., recently announced the opening of Harrison Law Associates in South Providence. His work will continue to focus on business transactions, contractual disputes, employment discrimination claims and a diverse range of civil litigation including personal injury lawsuits arising from serious injury and medical malpractice. With fifteen years of experience, Harrison has practiced primarily at the law firm of Tillinghast Licht & Semonoff. He was also associate executive counsel to Governor Bruce Sundlun. A South Providence resident, Harrison is admitted to practice in Rhode Island, and is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association and the Rhode Island Black Lawyers Association, as well as the American and National Bar Associations.

 

REAL ESTATE

Janice DePetrillo
Janice DePetrillo of The DeWolfe Companies in Warwick was installed as the 93rd president of the Greater Providence Board of Realtors last Wednesday (September 29). She succeeds Sharon D. Steele, president of the Sharon Steele Group in Providence. DePetrillo is a director of the Rhode Island Association of Realtors and currently serves on its Education and Program Committees.

 

 

SERVICES

Janice M. Dziurman
Janice M. Dziurman has been appointed clinical manager of Meeting Street Rehabilitation Center for Adults and FitStreet. The center, recently opened in East Greenwich, is an affiliate of Meeting Street Center in East Providence. Dziurman, a licensed occupational therapist will be responsible for the development and supervision of all clinical programs within the new facility. Dziurman, formerly a therapist with Norton & Associates in Braintree, Mass., earned her degree in occupational therapy from Wayne State University in Detroit.

 

 

Michael Roediger
Michael Roe-diger has been appointed development director for Children’s Friend & Service. Coming to Providence from Dayton, Ohio, Roediger headed the development department for Junior Achievement of Dayton and Miami Valley, Inc. Before that he spent seven years at Dayton’s Victoria Theatre Association, where he was also the development director for two years and the marketing assistant director before moving into the development arena. He received a bachelor’s degree in communications with concentrations in public relations and theater from Ohio Northern University.
