Wade Wilks
Wade Wilks was recently named director of major and planned gifts at Regis College in Weston, Mass. Prior to his appointment at Regis, Wilks served as associate director of planned giving at the University of Virginia. He has also been a first vice president of Hospital Trust National Bank (BankBoston) in Providence, and a registered representative with Metropolitan Life in Warwick. A Warwick resident is a member of the Planning Giving Group of New England and the Planned Giving Council of Rhode Island. He holds a bachelor of arts degree from Brown University and a master’s from the University of Virginia.

Robert E. Legacy
Robert E. Legacy has been appointed to the position of senior manager Information Systems at the People’s Credit Union. Legacy is responsible for administration and operation of the Information Systems department. He has more than 22 years of experience in computer operations, most recently as MIS director for Providence-based City/State Computer Services Inc. Legacy received an associate degree in computer science from the Community College of Rhode Island. The Cranston resident has also successfully completed various seminars and specialty training related to computer and network operations.
Kristen Holland
Kristen Holland has been promoted to assistant vice president and branch manager of The Washington Trust Company’s Wakefield office in Warwick. She will also be responsible for retail lending and developing commercial lines of business in the Wakefield and Narragansett areas. Joining the Bank in 1992, she most recently served as assistant branch manager of the Richmond office. Holland received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Providence College. A Westerly resident, she serves as treasurer for the Wood River Health Services board of directors and as secretary for the Richmond-Hopkinton Division of the Westerly-Pawcatuck Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. Heidi Dorris-Gorzewski
Dr. Heidi Dorris-Gorzewski has recently joined the practice at The Providence Health Center of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care of New England. Dr. Dorris joins the Providence Health Center from Brown University’s General Medicine Residency Program, Miriam Hospital, Providence. After completing the Energy Studies Program at Evergreen State College, Olympia, Wash., and earning a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Brown University, Providence, she received her medical degree from Brown University Medical School.

Robert F. Koehler
Robert F. Koehler, CPIA, president of the Richard E. Frank Co., North Providence, was recently elected president of the Independent Insurance Agents of Rhode Island at the annual meeting held at the Providence Biltmore Hotel. Koehler has been an agent for 36 years. He currently operates the agency that his father and two uncles began in 1949. Koehler was elected to the IIARI board of directors in 1987 as a district representative for district #5. He was elected to serve as a member of the IIARI Executive Committee in 1996.
John Duval
John Duval has been elected to the board of directors at Starkweather & Shepley Insurance, Inc. A senior vice president, who has been with the company for 22 years, he is responsible for a commercial insurance unit. Duval is a Providence College graduate and a retired Colonel of the United States Army reserve. He and his wife Trudy have two children.
Ardena Lee Fleming

Ardena Lee Fleming has been promoted to director of national accounts for the Providence Warwick Convention & Visitors Bureau. Formerly senior sales manager, she will assume responsibilities such as high profile accounts, sales department leadership and market development. She will also continue association account management of the metro Washington D.C. area and religious multi-cultural accounts nationwide.
Darlene Allen
Darlene Allen has joined Adoption Rhode Island as the new executive director. Allen brings many years of experience with child serving agencies to the organization. In her previous position as associate director of Children’s Friend & Service, Allen obtained a three-year federal demonstration grant to serve adoptive families at risk of disruption. In addition, she managed two family preservation programs, a family counseling program and an adoption and foster care program. Born in Massachusetts and educated at Providence College and the University of Massachusetts College of Public and Community Service, Allen began her career with at-risk children and families as a counselor in a residential treatment center for emotionally disturbed children.
Lee-Ann Beaupre
Lee-Ann Beaupre has been appointed director of the Meeting Street Rehabilitation Center for Adults and FitStreet. With the MSC for five years, Beaupre has served as operations and reimbursement manager. Prior to that she spent six years as operations manager at Critical Care America. In her new position, the Barrington resident will oversee administration and execution of all facility programs.

John S. Harker
John S. Harker of Barrington has been promoted to president and chief operating officer of Matrix, Incorporated. Harker has been with the East Providence high tech. manufacturing company in various capacities since 1989. Most recently he was vice president of operations. Before joining Matrix, he worked for AT&T as a strategic planner. Harker previously served in the U.S. Army as Captain with the 25th Infantry Division. He has his master’s degree in business administration from the College of William and Mary. He is involved with several organizations including St. John’s Church, Hattie Ide Chaffee Nursing Home and St. Andrews School.

Kelly Muir
Kelly Muir has been appointed marketing coordinator at Carlson Wagonlit/Donovan Travel. Muir will be responsible for coordinating all advertising and promotional efforts for the full service travel agency. Prior to joining Wagonlit/Donovan, Muir held a similar position at Montrose Travel in California. She has also served as executive assistant to the president of the company and held several retail customer service positions. Muir attended Pasadena City College, Calif.
Ronald A. Grandchamp
Ronald A. Grandchamp, co-owner of Middletown Cruise & Travel has been elected to the board of directors for the Newport County Chamber of Commerce. Grand-champ, who is also an immediate past president of the Middletown Rotary, began his duties on September 14.
