Henry Silva
Henry Silva has been selected to serve on the board of directors for the Providence Children’s Museum. A senior audit manager with Kahn, Litwin, Renza & Co., Ltd., Silva has been with the firm since 1996. He earned both his bachelor’s degree and his master’s in business administration from Providence College. He is an adjunct professor at both Providence College and Johnson & Wales University. Silva has also been a speaker for the Boy Scouts of America Career Awareness Program and an instructor for Junior Achievement of RI Project Business.

Amy E. Eichner
Amy E. Eichner has joined New England Construction as a designer. She is responsible for assisting the com-pany’s senior architect and consulting with clients to determine functional and spatial requirements for new construction and renovation projects. She also prepares drawing documents and selects materials and colors. She is a graduate of Roger Williams University School of Architecture. Prior to her appointment at New England Construction, she interned at Sheehan’s Office Interiors in Portsmouth.

David R. Coupe of Scituate has been appointed vice president of the commercial lending division of GT Funding. He will supervise the commercial lending services for the commercial and residential financing company. He has been with Citizens Bank Rhode Island, for more than 30 years.

Paul Jaspers
Paul Jaspers has joined Burnes of Boston as human resource manager. He will be responsible for employee development and retentions as well as recruitment of new talent. The company, headquartered in North Smithfield, is the largest designer, marketer and manufacturer of ready-made picture frames, albums and photo storage products to better markets. Prior to joining Burnes, Jaspers spent 14 years at GRACO Children’s Products in Penn., where he most recently served as director of human resources. A graduate of Marantha Bible College, he holds a certificate in professional human resources management from Villanova University, and is a certified professional in human resources.

Debra Miller
Debra Miller has been appointed product manager of Possible Dreams. With over 15 years of marketing experience, Miller was formerly director of licensing and product development for the Preservation Society of Newport. She spearheaded the development of the licensed home furnishings and gift line for the Mansions of Newport. A graduate of University of Rhode Island in marketing and textiles, she attended the Rhode Island School of Design and is pursuing a graduate degree in marketing from Bryant College.

Dr. Andrew T. Crellin
Andrew T. Crellin, DC, RPT, CCSP, has been granted medical staff privileges from Women & Infants Hospital. Dr. Crellin is a licensed chiropractic physician and registered physical therapist with his own private practice in West Warwick. A graduate of the University of Connecticut, he earned his doctor of chiropractic degree at the Palmer College of Chiropractic in San Jose, Calif. He has also attended postgraduate course in sports medicine, radiology, orthopedics and risk management at the New York Chiropractic College, the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic and the National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, Ill. He will be providing care as part of the Pain and Palliative Care team at Women & Infants’ Program in Women’s Oncology in Providence. The program assists women coping with pain and other issues related to their conditions.

Stuart B. Mundy
Stuart B. Mundy has been appointed to the Providence Civic Center Authority by Mayor Vincent A. Cianci. The principal executive officer and secretary/treasurer of Teamsters Local 251, Mundy is a Providence resident. He is also vice president of the Rhode Island Building Trades and a staff teacher for the AFL-CIO Organizing Institute in Washington, D.C. Mundy is also a member of the Policy Committee of the Teamsters Bakery and Laundry Conference, the RIAFL-CIO Executive Committee and Executive Board and the New England Freight Negotiating Committee, in addition to many other roles in other organizations.

James F. Murphy has joined the Providence agency of MassMutual Financial Group. Formerly associated with New England Financial, he earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and master’s in business administration from Providence College. He is a member of the Northeastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce, Providence Chamber of Commerce and the Rhode Island Life Underwriters Association.

Cate M. Roberts
Cate M. Roberts has been named director of community affairs for Textron, Inc. She will oversee Textron’s local community affairs program, including its charitable contributions, corporate philanthropy and community involvement activities. She will also be responsible for expanding and cultivating Textron’s involvement with the Chamber of Commerce Academy; a charter school designed to meet the needs of at-risk urban youth. Roberts most recently served as vice president and manager of community relations for FleetBoston Financial, responsible for the corporation’s charitable giving, community relations and corporate sponsorship programs in Rhode Island. She serves on the board of directors of the Rhode Island Zoological Society, Women’s Center of Rhode Island, International Institute of Rhode Island, Academic Decathlon, Renaissance City Film Festival, City Year Rhode Island, and is secretary of the board of First Night Providence. Roberts is also a member of the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce Marketing Committee and the Business Volunteers for the Arts Steering Committee.
Yasuo Abe
Yasuo Abe has been elected president of Toray Plastics (America). Formerly with Toray Industries, Inc., in Tokyo, for nearly 40 years, he has relocated to Rhode Island to replace outgoing president Yasuhiko Yumiketa, who was reassigned to Japan. Abe will be responsible for overall management and performance of the American subsidiary company which manufactures polyester and polypropylene film and olefin foam for a variety of markets and applications.

Stephen Romanello
Stephen Romanello has been named marketing manager for projo.com, the Web site of The Providence Journal. He will oversee the sales and marketing efforts of the site, including the analysis of growth opportunities and tracking of demographic, technological and cultural developments. He will also serve as liaison with the promotion, research, market development, advertising and circulation departments of the newspaper. He has been with the Journal since 1997.

George L. Zoglio
George L. Zoglio has been appointed chief financial officer of Village Retirement Communities. He will be responsible for accounting and financial management in the company’s corporate headquarters in Greenville. Prior to joining the VRC, he was CFO for Care New England Home Health.
