Caroline Payson has been named executive director of Providence Children’s Museum. She spent more than 10 years as director of education at Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum. She holds a master’s degree in fiction writing from Johns Hopkins University and a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College.
