PROVIDENCE – Charrette Corporation’s ProGraphics division is working with the city’s Met School, the Metropolitan Regional Career & Technical Center, to develop an internship program. Two students, Carlos David, a senior, and William Gonzales, a sophomore, are working as assistants at Charrette’s Providence production facility as a "real world" experience in their field of interest. David and Gonzales work at Charrette’s Eddy Street location twice a week from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. along with attending their Met School classes and activities. They are "mentored" at Charrette by Rich Bernhardt, digital services manager. Joe Battaglia, their advisor at the Met School praised the program, noting that the students "are doing real work and are very gratified by what they are doing."
