BOSTON – Coldwell Banker Real Estate Brokerage, a regional real estate corporation with a Rhode Island office in East Providence, has been fined $66,700 by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for alleged violations of lead paint disclosure rules.
The EPA last week announced the fine against the company, which also has offices in North Haven and Fairfield, Conn.; Lincoln and Somerville, Mass.; and Dover and Manchester, N.H.
While Coldwell has “since certified that they are currently in full compliance” with disclosure rules, the company violated policies in “multiple” transactions between 2005 and 2007, according to the EPA.
