The Rhode Island chapter of the Associated General Contractors (RIAGC) of America presented its third annual Build Rhode Island awards to eight Rhode Island general contractors at a recent dinner at the Westin Hotel in Providence. The contractors were recognized for their efforts and teamwork in construction or renovation projects. The award recipients include O. Ahlborg & Sons, for the Springfield Street Elementary and Middle Schools in Providence; Cardi Construction Corp., for rehabilitation of the Court St. Bridge, Woonsocket; Dimeo Construction Co., for renovation of Brown University’s Smith Buonanno Hall, Providence; Gilbane Building Co., for the CVS corporate headquarters in Woonsocket; A.F. Lusi Construction, Inc., for renovation of the State of Rhode Island’s office buildings at the Cranston Center Complex; J.L Marshall & Sons, for foundation and superstructure concrete at the Providence Place Mall; New England Construction, for the Steiff-North America headquarters in Raynham, Mass. and E. Turgeon Construction Corp., for the construction of St. Dominic’s Chapel at Providence College.
